The Yamaha YZF R1 has a seven-level Traction Control System which allows more traction and drive while coming out of the corners. The forced-air intake system is embraced to increase intake competence by using the natural airflow during riding. The fuel-injected engine takes full advantage of YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle), the MotoGP-inspired fly-by-wire technology used to deliver instant throttle response. The Yamaha D-MODE (or “Drive Mode”) is for variable throttle control which gives you three modes that control how the YCC-T responds to throttle input.
